Example: The questioning of a witness, by a party or lawyer other than the one who called the witness, concerning matters about which the witness has testified during direct examination. The purpose is to discredit or clarify testimony or present facts in a light more favorable to the party against whom the direct testimony was offered.
ឧទាហរណ៍៖ ការសួរសាក្សីដោយភាគីឬមេធាវីផ្សេងពីភាគីដែលអញ្ចើញសាក្សីមកគឺសួរទាក់ទងនឹងរឿងដែលស្តីអំពីអ្វីដែលសាក្សីបានឆ្លើយជាកសិណមកហើយនៅក្នុងពេលសាកសួរបណ្តោយ ។ គោលបំណងនៃការសួរនេះគឺសួរបង្ខូចឬបំភ្លឺសក្ខីកម្មដែលបានផ្តល់រួចមកហើយ ដើម្បីបង្ហាញហេតុការនានា​ក្នុងសភាពអំណោយផលជាងមុនដល់ភាគីដែលសួរបញ្រ្ចាស ។
